Arsenal have completed the signing of Juventus full back Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free transfer. The deal was officially announced by the club on Tuesday afternoon.
The Swiss international will now link up with new teammate Granit Xhaka at the Switzerland camp for the world cup.
The highly experienced full back is the first signing of new Arsenal Manager Unai Emery. The manager was very pleased with the deal, expressing his belief in the ability of Stephan to improve the squad. He said: 'Stephan brings huge experience and leadership to our squad. He's a player with a very positive and determined attitude. Stephan will improve us on and off the pitch'.
