Leroy Sane left out of Germany World Cup Squad!!!

Shocking news really to almost everyone hearing that Manchester City forward Leroy Sane has been dropped from the Germany World Cup Squad. The prolific Manchester city youngster racked up 10 goals and 15 assists last season and was an integral part of the Premier League winning Manchester City side last season.

It was popular opinion that the 22 year old would be part of Germany National Squad for the 2018 World Cup in June. Sane was one of four players dropped by Germany Coach Joachim Loew, along with Bernd Leno, Jonathan Tah and Niels Petersen.

The Germany manager in a press conference revealed he had informed the four players of his decision before breaking the news to the rest of the squad. He further said "There are certainly easier days in the life of a national team manager than the day where I have to send four players home. These are four players who had merited their place in the provisional squad through their performances, I spoke to the four players and the disappointment was huge, as you would expect".

Joachim Loew revealed that it was a close decision between Sane and Julian Brandt who was picked in favour of him, Brandt having fitted into the national team better more recently coupled with his defensive work rate.

This will be a hard one for Sane to swallow but we trust him to overcome the disappointment and get prepared for the new season, possibly hoping to make the next World Cup.
